Blacklist -  Workers who tried to unionize were placed on blacklist.  Then they could get a job nowhere.



Workers could be locked out.


To fight these tactics used by the owners of business, workers went on strike.

Labor unions form because individual workers are almost powerless againsh wealthy owners of industries.

workers signed these to get a job.   If they joined a union and were found out they would be fired and their family would be thrown on the street.
